5 donations of TAP to organizations in Northern Greece were completed, in collaboration with Network
Greece. The implementation of the first support programs for vulnerable social groups provided for in the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by the Trans-Adriatic Natural Gas Pipeline (TAP) with Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance in May 2016 is progressing at a rapid pace. € 46,745, to social organizations in Northern Greece, in the framework of the CSR axis of TAP for the improvement of the Quality of life of the local communities.
Less than three months after the signing of the Memorandum, TAP proceeded to meet the needs of five Non-Governmental Organizations, which were recorded and evaluated by Network. Specifically:
- At the “Child Asylum” in Thessaloniki, which aims to meet the basic needs of children of all ages, a professional washing machine was donated to meet the needs of 400 children
- In “AGIA MARINA” in Perigiali, Kavala, which operates as a pedagogical-educational unit and as a place to host people suffering from mental disability and mobility problems, the waterproofing of the institution was financed
- At the “SOS Children’s Village of Thrace” in Aristino, Alexandroupolis, which accommodates 50 children deprived of their physical family, and operates a Day Center for children with special needs and a Counseling Center for families and their children in financial difficulties, donated household items. computers and air conditioning units
- The Voluntary Disaster Management Department at the Olympic Flame Park in Kastoria, which aims at voluntary intervention in cases of emergencies and disasters, donated specialized items that will upgrade the quality of their interventions.
- In the Society for the Protection of Persons with Autism D.A.D. Kastoria Prefecture for the branch Day Center for children, adolescents, and young adults with autism donated specialized items to meet the needs of occupational therapy and kinesiotherapy
TAP is implementing its voluntary commitment to investing millions of euros over the next 4 years in CSR programs focusing on the environment, education and training, socio-economic development, and improving the quality of life of local communities, mainly areas through which pipeline in the regions of Western Macedonia, Central Macedonia, and Eastern Macedonia-Thrace.
