Donation of medical equipment from Network to the General Hospital of Thessaloniki “Ippokratio”

Another donation was made by Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance, supporting the work of the Thermaides Association for the need to offer specialized medical equipment to the Laboratory of Neurophysiology of the Center for Developmental Pediatrics “Apostolos Fokas” of the 1st Department of Pediatrics video-encephalography -HEG Nihon Kohden EEG-1200.

 

Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Branch Thermaides, of the Panathinaikos Panhellenic Women’s Organization, proceeded to co-finance and cover a significant part of the cost of the equipment, contributing to the upgrading of medical services for new and immediate diagnosis infants, children and adolescents.

 

The handover ceremony of the video-encephalography took place on Thursday, January 31, 2019, in the presence of Mrs. Olgas Tsimiski, President of the Thessaloniki Branch Thermaides of the Panathinaikos Panhellenic Women’s Organization, Mr. Nikolaos Pentzos, President of Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance and Mr. Dimitris Zafeiriou, Professor of Pediatrics.

 

Mr. Nikolaos Pentzos, in a statement, said: “The purpose of each of our actions is to help in practice those people who are really in need, ensuring that with all the means we have we can make their lives, their daily lives better. Being in solidarity is not a given. It is happiness to be able to join forces, to increase our embrace, welcoming people who love to offer and who have learned to listen, responding with warmth and kindness to every need of our fellow human beings. The people of the Thermaides Association practice solidarity and carry out valuable work. The same applies to the people, the nursing and medical staff of the AD Pediatric Clinic of AUTh of the General Hospital “Hippocrates”. It is important to remain active listeners to listen to the needs of the people around us. “This has been our main priority since we were founded: to be by the side of those who need us.”
