Network & Municipality of Thessaloniki: Signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation

An alliance to support vulnerable groups and the environment.

 

Joint actions to support vulnerable social groups are being developed by Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance and the Municipality of Thessaloniki, as provided for in a relevant memorandum of cooperation signed by both parties.

 

The memorandum was signed in a teleconference by Mayor Konstantinos Zervas and the President of Network Nikolaos Pentzos. Mr. Zervas spoke about a collaboration that helps heal the wounds created by the health crisis while praising the initiative taken by the Hellenic Industries Association, the Chambers (TIF, BETH, and EETH), the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce, and the Exports Association for the creation of Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance.

 

Mr. Zervas stated that the productive and business bodies of Thessaloniki created an “alliance of the good”, giving through actions of authentic offer a meaningful substance in the concept of corporate social responsibility.

 

For his part, the Deputy Mayor of Social Policy, Mr. Haris Aidonopoulos, underlined that it becomes clear that corporate social responsibility really works, as it is “a sample of humanity, a sample of synergy and a sample of creation.”

 

On his part, Mr. Nikolaos Pentzos stated that Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance is at the disposal of the Municipality of Thessaloniki for the implementation of actions and programs that aim to support people who need help in their daily lives.
