Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance expands its action in Attica in 2020
The nationwide expansion of the activities of Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance in 2020, was announced yesterday by the President of Network, Mr. Nikolaos Pentzos, who attended a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr. Pentzos stressed that large companies from Attica have asked Network to be their “arm” in the field of corporate social responsibility, utilizing the experience and know-how it has developed in recent years. At the same time, he did not rule out the possibility that Network’s action would spread to the Peloponnese region.
Mr. Pentzos noted that Network since its founding in 2013, supports individuals, groups, charities, organizations and agencies, connecting them with the business community of Northern Hellas. In this context, it promotes the concept of social sensitivity and responsibility of companies, as well as the promotion of the idea of social cohesion in our country. Thus, today it supports 29 meals and social groceries, 41 institutions and 31 clubs and organizations for nutrition and daily needs.
The collaborations of Network, whose founding member is the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, include the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO, while together with the National Bank the Act4Greece participatory financing program was created to cover meals in Thessaloniki and Northern Greece.
