Stand by the side of the Greek Rescue Team of Kavala

On the side of the Greek Rescue Team of Kavala stood the Trans-Adriatic Natural Gas Pipeline (TAP) which supported the branch of the Organization with the sponsorship of rescue equipment. The equipment offered to ESA Kavala volunteers included mountaineering ropes, helmets, stretchers, and climbing materials, which are necessary for mountain rescue procedures, radios that meet the needs of telecommunications during operations, as well as a pump, used for pumping. water in cases of flooding.

 

All the equipment is extremely necessary for the members of the Kavala branch, as without it they can’t assist in emergencies and other incidents that endanger human life. The sponsorship from TAP, implemented through Network of Social Solidarity & Assistance, came in recognition of the work offered by the ESA Kavala volunteers, both during the frost at the beginning of the year – with transportation of kidney patients and provision of necessities in excluded areas – as well as in the big fire of Thassos in September 2016.

 

However, apart from these two large companies, the volunteers of ESA Kavala are present in every crisis in the Prefecture, always offering their services for the protection of our fellow human beings.
